Who we are

We are BrandPipe Ltd (“BrandPipe”), a privately-owned company based in the UK, registered in England and Wales with company number 08388816

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) with registration number ZA067362.

What we do

BrandPipe provides technology services (such as websites and web applications) to a range of large companies (“Clients”) around the world, most of which are financial services or insurance providers in nature. In practice this means BrandPipe operates web based services on behalf of these companies.

These services capture, store and process the customer data of these Clients. Consent to conduct these activities is managed by the Clients themselves, and the Clients entrust BrandPipe to conduct these activities professionally and with strict adhereance to privacy and data processing laws.

The agreements we have in place with our Clients permit us to process their customer’s data only for the purposes intended and for no other reason.

What personal data we collect (on this site) and why

The visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Our compliance regime

BrandPipe operates a formal compliance programme with GDPRLocal.

Calling Us

When you call a published telephone number on this site, it’s routed through a third party service provided by Microsoft, which directs the call to an available company representative. In doing so we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. This is the phone number you are calling from (if it’s not withheld). We hold a log of the phone number, date, time and duration of the call, but do not audio-record the call itself. We hold this information for 90 days.

We use this information to understand the demand for our services and to improve how we operate. We may also use the number to call you back if you have asked us to do so, if your call drops, or if there is a problem with the line. We may also use it to check how many calls we have received from it.

We don’t audio record any calls, but we might make written notes during the call.

We also hold statistical information about the calls we receive for a number of years, but this does not contain any personal data.

Cookies

We don't set any that send data to us. You can read more about that here.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

We use Analytics tools from Google and Microsoft to monitor and track basic visitor information and system performance.

Who we share your data with

We will not share your information with any third parties for the purposes of direct marketing.

We use data processors who are third parties who provide elements of services for us (such as web hosting). We have contracts in place with our data processors. This means that they cannot do anything with your personal information unless we have instructed them to do it. They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct.

In some circumstances we are legally obliged to share information. For example under a court order or to regulatory bodies in order to further their objectives. In any scenario, we’ll satisfy ourselves that we have a lawful basis on which to share the information and document our decision making and satisfy ourselves we have a legal basis on which to share the information.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How we protect your data

BrandPipe uses premium, modern, industry-leading software and infrastructure to operate this site and the web services it manages for its Clients.

What data breach procedures we have in place

BrandPipe uses third party security and monitoring software to reduce the risk of unauthorised access to customer data, and while no internet based security measures can be considered fool proof, we operate a cycle of continuous updates and improvements to stay at the leading-edge of good security practice.

In the event of a data breach, BrandPipe has specific policies and procedures in place and is goverened by powerful legislation and commercial contracts that compel it to disclose and resolve any detected or suspected breach in a timely fashion.

What third parties we received data from

BrandPipe does not engage in traditional data-buying, lead-purchasing or related activity to build its customer base. We do operate a single Google Adwords campaign to promote and protect our trademark brand name in internet search results.

BrandPipe receieves and processes data from its Clients who obtain authorisation to share this data with its appointed third parties (of which BrandPipe is one).
