Privacy

Your privacy matters to us

We have compiled a list of information below concerning common privacy questions. If you need any further information please contact us.

Who we are

We are BrandPipe Ltd (“BrandPipe”), a privately-owned company based in the UK, registered in England and Wales with company number 08388816

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) with registration number ZA067362.

What we do

BrandPipe provides technology services (such as websites and web applications) to a range of large companies (“Clients”) around the world, most of which are financial services or insurance providers in nature. In practice this means BrandPipe operates web based services on behalf of these companies.

These services capture, store and process the customer data of these Clients. Consent to conduct these activities is managed by the Clients themselves, and the Clients entrust BrandPipe to conduct these activities professionally and with strict adhereance to privacy and data processing laws.

The agreements we have in place with our Clients permit us to process their customer’s data only for the purposes intended and for no other reason.

What personal data we collect (on this site) and why we collect it

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Calling Us

When you call a published telephone number on this site, it’s routed through a third party service called ResponseTap, which directs the call to an available company representative. In doing so we collect Calling Line Identification (CLI) information. This is the phone number you are calling from (if it’s not withheld). We hold a log of the phone number, date, time and duration of the call, but do not audio-record the call itself. We hold this information for 90 days.

We use this information to understand the demand for our services and to improve how we operate. We may also use the number to call you back if you have asked us to do so, if your call drops, or if there is a problem with the line. We may also use it to check how many calls we have received from it.

We don’t audio record any calls, but we might make written notes during the call.

We also hold statistical information about the calls we receive for a number of years, but this does not contain any personal data.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We use Analytics tools from Google and Microsoft to monitor and track basic visitor information and system performance.
